Restaurant Review: Legal Seafoods

Alan and I are huge fans of seafood so when his mom gave us a gift card to Legal Seafoods of course we got excited. They have a great saying there "If it isn't fresh, it isn't Legal" and boy do they mean it. We went to Legal Seafoods in Boston's Long Warf where we had a beautiful view of the boats in the harbor and where we were steps away from the New England Aquarium.  This place is a little pricey but I promise its worth it!

Here's what you need to know about Legal Seafoods:

  • Service:
    • Great - Our server, Michael was amazing, he made sure we were well taken care of, our food was great, and that our glasses were always full.
  • Food:
    • Very Good - Everything we ate that day I would have given five stars. The chef was on point and every bite was satisfying.
  • Atmosphere:
    • Very Good - Classy and modern, this restaurant was beautiful and I couldn't help but stare outside our window into the beautiful harbor. If you are lucky enough to be able to dine there in the warmer months, see if you can dine out on their beautiful patio area.
Here is what we tried and here are my thoughts:
  • Appetizer - Crispy Montauk Calamari (Rhode Island Style)
    • Not your average calamari with marinara sauce, the Rhode Island version is served mixed in with hot peppers and garlic and no sauce. I know what you're thinking, NO SAUCE, WHAT? I promise you if you take a bite of calamari with a slice of pepper you're mind will be blown away.
  • Alan's Entree - Double Stuffed Baked Shrimp
    • Jumbo shrimp with a buttery crabmeat stuffing and choice of one side you won't be disappointed. It was a little salty for me but it was perfect when I ate it with a piece of broccoli.
  • My Entree - New England Fried Clams Roll
    • Delicious whole-bellied, sweet, and petite clames served on a New England Roll.

You can find Legal Seafoods on Facebook or on Twitter where you can stay updated on different events and all of their delicious seafood options. You can also preview special holiday menus like the one they have up right now for Valentine's Day.
